Welcome to the Managing Medicines Website, a resource centre for medicines management and pharmaceutical care, which aims to provide information on helping patients get the best from their medicines from new models of practice and new services.

It is designed to be the first port of call for pharmacists and others throughout the world who want to know what is going on in pharmaceutical care and medicines management.

It is intended for both commissioners and providers of new services, and it will offer an introduction to structured ways of optimising the benefit that patients derive from the use of medicines as well as a "how to" - approach to participating in new services and practice models. The centre will be focussing particularly on pharmaceutical care and structured forms of medicines management as practice models and describe ways of delivering such services.

The resource centre has an inclusive and collaborative approach, encouraging the sharing of good practice among users, as well as tracking the major trials that are taking place across the UK and around the world. To help achieve its objectives, it has the benefit of advice from a world-class advisory board that is active in the field of medicines management and pharmaceutical care.

We welcome your feedback on future areas of development and look forward to your participation.
